Since I’ve just updated my setup, I want to make a video to show what I have and what I work with since a lot of people ask me about it.
Table of Contents
1 - My PC
I’ll start with the PC, which is probably what most people are curious about.
I changed my PC in September 2023; up until now, I’ve been using a 2019 Razer Blade Advanced model for both the channel and leisure. I even made a blog about it at the time, but honestly, I have no idea where it is haha.
The video is still on YouTube: https://youtu.be/Ug3QVcam8Rc?si=TcShcB4L0vNa8fUz
Anyway, I still have it in case I ever need to work on the go, since it’s a great machine.

Let’s dive in with the PC.
Note: total cost €2400 (including 23% VAT).
1.1 - Case
I’ve got a tower case which is the NZXT H7 Flow - Black and white:
And honestly, I’m happy with it, but it’s HUGE, and when I say huge, I mean it. The store I bought it from didn’t have the H5 (my original choice) in stock. But space isn’t an issue, so it’s fine.

1.2 - Processor and CPU Cooler
I went back and forth between several processor models, all AMD. I spent hours researching, and finally chose the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, since it fit my needs best. I considered something with more raw power, but in the end, I don’t think I need it.

And for the CPU fan, I went with a noctua NH-D15 140mm. Honestly, it could have been a bit smaller and it would’ve been fine, but hey, it fits in the case and I’m not looking at it anyway, so it’s all good.

1.3 - Motherboard
The motherboard is a MSI MAG B650 Tomahawk WIFI. The main thing I wanted was AM5 compatibility, since my RAM would be that type.
At first, I was looking at micro-ATX boards, but I gave up, none of them support more than 64GB of RAM.

1.4 - RAM
Something I really wanted, and I’m glad I got so much of it, is RAM. I got the Corsair Vengeance 32Gb DDR5 (CMK64GX5M2B5200C40), two sticks.
Link: https://amzn.to/3LwGc4K
I’m super happy because this way Docker can use pretty much all the memory it wants and I don’t even notice.
1.5 - Hard Drive
For storage, I’m using a Samsung 980 Pro 1TB. Honestly, someone needs to explain to me why these M2 SSDs are so cheap now, especially compared to SSDs back in the day, they’re a steal.

1.6 - Graphics Card
Just like with the processor, after a ton of research I ended up with the MSI GeForce RTX 4070 VENTUS 2X 12G OC. Honestly, if I’d known how big the case was, I’d have gone with a three-fan model, but it’s all the same in theory.
Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3PM7DKv
Mostly, I use it for video editing, which I don’t do a ton of, or for gaming, but honestly I don’t plan on playing much on the PC until Cities Skylines 2 is out.
1.7 - Power Supply
Finally, I got a fully modular power supply. I don’t really care much about cables, but if they’re organized, even better. What I can’t stand is having rogue cables everywhere. In the end, I got the MSI MAG A750GL PCIE5 - 750 W, which was recommended to me, and it’s great.

I really hope this PC lasts me 10 years, I imagine it will, as long as nothing breaks before then.
2 - Peripherals
Now for everything that goes along with the PC.
2.1 - Mouse
I’ve used the logitech G502 for years and I’m really happy with it. Now I use the same model but wireless.
Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3ER6Pxy
Although to be honest, I’ve ordered this four times and every order has been cancelled... when it finally arrives (ordered again) I’ll post my review.
2.2 - Keyboard
I’ve been using the Apple Magic Keyboard for a while. I really like it and I can type pretty fast on it, but I’ve been wanting to buy a mechanical keyboard for some time (I’ve had one in the past, but never liked it much). Then NuPhy announced their Air 75 V2, so I bought it and that’s what I currently use.

2.3 - Stream deck
I’ve had this device for a couple of years. It’s definitely a hit for those who stream, but I use it with a ton of shortcuts and scripts that run at the push of a button. It’s super useful, though mostly for convenience.

2.4 - Sony WH-1000XM4 headphones
Not much to say about these headphones that isn’t already known: they cover your ears and have noise cancellation, which is pretty much what I want them for. Totally recommended; I watched lots of reviews at the time, and the price difference compared to the XM5 didn’t seem worth it.

2.5 - Mic Arm and Mic
I’m still using the same mic I had on day one, my partner gave it to me, and since it works well, I’m sticking with it. It’s a Sudotack, and as long as it’s good, I keep using it.
Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3sU2UNS
The only thing I’ve changed is the mic arm. I used to use the stand (the kind that sits on the desk), but about a year and a half ago I decided to swap it for the low profile elGato arm, and I couldn’t be happier with it.

2.6 - Monitor
I made a video about this back in the day, and I recommend it if you’re looking for a big monitor, this is your video because I have the Samsung Odyssey G9.
Video link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KAkxC5WwPgc
I’ve been using it for 3 years, and as I said, I’m very happy. But it is really, really big. Sometimes I even think it’s too much. For reference, for a while I actually had it on a shelf behind my desk. And the arm you need for it is a special one, there are only two for sale: the WORLDLIFT Monitor Holder, which I have (€100), and another more expensive one at €300. Yes, just for the arm.
2.7 - Camera
Up until recently, I used the famous logitech CS920 1080p, a classic workhorse webcam. I’d been wanting an upgrade for a while, so I bought the elGato FaceCam Pro.
elGato link: https://www.elgato.com/us/es/p/facecam-pro
I’m super happy with it. If you’re unsure which camera to get, Nate Gentile has a YouTube video comparing many models: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFHlk6AZJ1k
The difference between the two is incredible, it’s literally like jumping from a PS2 to a modern console.
I also want to buy elGato lights, but for now, no. And yes, elGato is the best for this sort of gear.
2.7 - Docking station
Day to day, I usually work on two different machines: one for work and one for personal stuff (the main PC above). I want to just swap a cable and have everything hooked up to whichever machine I’m using. Yes, I could use a KVM, but I’m not a fan since I have a ton of peripherals connected. Instead, I use a dock station, and it works really well.
Amazon link: https://amzn.to/3RpUOXF
I’ve tried some from Dell before, but none have worked nearly as well as this one.
2.8 - Desk
The desk is probably what I’ve changed the most. Since starting the channel, I’ve had 3 different desks, always looking for the one that fits me best.
First, I had the classic IKEA black tabletop with four legs, about as basic as it gets. About a year ago, I bought one from a company called Jysk, which is REALLY nice because it’s big enough to fit everything I need. But I always had the feeling I wanted a standing desk, so I bought the Magnus PRO from Secretlabs.
Link: https://secretlab.eu/products/magnus-pro
I was torn between the regular and XL sizes. The XL barely fits in my current office, so I chose the regular one, which is the same size as my current desk.
2.9 - Server
Strictly speaking, it’s not a peripheral, but it’s part of my setup since I use it to store company data and my YouTube stuff. It also serves as a media server.
I 100% recommend having a home server if your hobbies require a lot of files.
